this photo reminds me of Spain soooo much with the plants in the window and that alleyway! Barcelona! I miss you, Europe.
So I have decided not to move the the big city, well I guess my financial situation decided for me. Go team going to four years and being a million dollars in debt! To be honest I am not overly upset about not being able to move. Actually the only reason I am bothered by it is that two of my favorite people are heading there next week and I can not imagine not having them around. I shall be heading that way next month though to see KOL so I will be able to see how the gals are doing and get a taste of their life in Toronto. I need to get myself back on my feet in regards to money (honey) and by staying home I can pay off some bills and possibly save up to head back to Europe next summer for another adventure and to find my long lost Italian lover.

Back in summer 2007, the Maccabees played an exclusive show for Itunes festival in London and only two hundred tickets were available. Ellen and I both entered to win tickets but had no luck. I decided to contact the band through their myspace and see if I could persuade them to give me a couple tickets. To my surprise I got a call from their management and they said they had a pair of extras and they would be happy to give them to me! I was BEYOND pumped. Needless to say, the show was amazing and chatting with the guys was an absolute blast (they even remembered me from the show a couple weeks prior in Spain). Ahhhh summer 2007 was the shit. NOSTALGIA! Well anyways, the boys are playing on my birthday this year…in Brooklyn..this is one of the many points in my life (bands are usually involved) that I wish I had some major coin. I guess I will just have to wait to see them again when they finally decide to bless this lovely country with their presence. Slumber party!!
I had a dream about my dear British friend Peter Martin last eve and I made me miss him even more. I do not remember what the dream entailed but I do know that good times were being had by all. The photo above was taken in 2005 when Beth, Hools and I took over Europe and it happens to be one of my fav photos from that adventure. Pete and Mike joined us in Spain and this shot was taken while we were on a the craziest pub crawl of life. The Spanish sure know how to pour a drink!
Let’s drive to Brighton on the weekend. March 8, 2009
Really missing this place. I just can not go over there and piss about…for the 5th time. I really do want to move to Ireland sometime soon though, probz next year. That way I can work AND do a bit of travel, instead of just swiping the ol’ visa for weeks on end. BUT for the mean time, I must save for my trip to U.S.A and for the big move to Toronto this Fall. No Europe, Sheena. Seriously, NOOOOO Europe.
